Stanislas Bonjean Lilla is a Paris-born independent designer, jewel(le)ry maker, fashion activist with roots from South of France, Northern Italy and 30 years around the world.
Free spirit and creative oriented, Stanislas is inspired by the concept of biomimicry, considered as the science and philosophy of learning from Nature, by the “Utopian Ideal of Universal Harmony” of Piet Mondrian and finally by traditional Japanese aesthetics, including Wabi-Sabi which is « a world view centered on the acceptance of imperfection » and Shibui «that refers to a particular aesthetic of simple and subtle beauty».
During his jeweller's initiation journey in Asia, Europe and Americas, Stanislas learned jewel(le)ry making techniques and gemmology from old masters in immersive experiences.
In 2015, he established his eponymous studio SBL in Paris. Every decision in the design and production process reflects a unique statement and Stanislas ambition of indie design and conscious craftsmanship.
With a simple, modern, calming the soul design, and handcrafted with more and more sustainable, ethical, high quality materials such as solid bronze, and conflict-free, durable cubic zirconia, each piece, perfectly imperfect is one of a kind and created to last a lifetime.
Aiming to be a better environmentally and socially responsible atelier, SBL is constantly working on being more creative and innovative, to become truly eco-friendly, caring, considering the future of the planet, and reducing the impact we have on the environment.
